Hey Josh konigsberg here law firm marketing pros coming to you live from our studio here in Jupiter, Florida. Today I'm here on Facebook Live to talk to you about the law firm comeback. And this is your post pandemic marketing plan. We offered it up on Facebook had a lot of people download copies of this post pandemic marketing plan for lawyers that we created. And lo lo and behold, a lot of people came back and asked us for a little bit more detail. So what I thought I'd do today was provide a quick Facebook Live Video kind of going over the finer points of it and seeing if anybody had any questions online that we might be able to answer for you. So basically the plan is a two part plan. One part is a do it yourself. component The other is a done for you. So as part of your two part your done for you plan. I'd like to dive in and unpack some of the goodies that we have here for you. So you want to really make yourself a little bit more accessible to clients. So if you don't offer for example, if you don't offer free consultations, I know that obviously all personal injury attorneys do that. But if you don't offer free consultations, please consider doing that now, even if it's just for temporary short period of time as we make it through the next phase of the pandemic.

You also want to consider

offering or extending your online consultations because believe it or not, some people are still uncomfortable with a face to face, even with masks. And then finally, we want to recommend that you make yourself available for extended hours after hours and on weekends. I know that sometimes you don't want to work on weekends, but given the fact that a lot of people are at home and working from home and their kids are out of school and they're doing homeschooling they just simply don't have the time to go meet with our attorney. So with that being said, I'd like to jump into To what we can kind of consider the new normal, or what we're calling is the shift in consumer behavior that we're going to see. I personally don't like the term the new normal, I think it's being over utilized. But for lack of a better term, I'd like to go ahead and move forward with that, if you think back to 911, and what life was like before 911, and what life was like after 911, there was certainly a shift in behavior. And I'll tell you, the, you know, one of the things that is normal for us is waiting through a long security line and taking our shoes off and going through a machine a body scan machine, and unpacking everything and not having any liquid over three ounces. That's normal today. In the year 2000, it wasn't normal. So much like that, we're going to see significant changes in the way we do business. And some of them are self evident and, and we've heard a lot of this but I'm just going to go ahead and repeat it anyway. You know, many consumers are still wearing masks, even though it's not necessary. Okay? most public facing businesses, their staff is going to be wearing personal protective equipment, we're going to see that I'm seeing it every day in my travels. More people are going to continue to work remotely from home. And so what that means is a continuation and expansion of digital consultations and meetings. So we're going to, I believe we're going to personally continue to see that and as a result, people are like relying more and more on online resources, including Facebook, and Google and YouTube and LinkedIn, and email and zoom and GoToMeeting, and join me and Google Hangouts. We're seeing this over and over again. So we know that Google searches are up over 50% we know that Facebook usage is up 70%. We know that email up opens are up over 70%. So now more than ever, your online presence is more critical to your success than ever before. So we've developed these do it yourself strategies and some done for you strategies that will help you come on top, come out on top in the next three, six and nine months. Okay? So for the Do It Yourself portion of this plan that we've created. We want to recommend if you haven't already done so, please reach out and call your clients. Let them know that you're still there checking on your work on their well being. I did this just yesterday with a client who I hadn't talked to since all this started. He was so grateful that I just called him to say, hey Mike, how you doing? How's everything going? Are you ready for when this comes out to just see the plan that we emailed you? Did you have any questions but he was just very very grateful that I checked in on him and his family. Just kind of puts their mind at ease. The other thing you want to do You want to create again, this is real simple stuff that you can do, as a business owner and attorney, create a short video, okay, it's the most effective way to let your clients know that you're working, you're still there on their behalf. And you want to share some type of personal anecdote, or an icebreaker or something that's happened to you during this quarantine during the lockdown that that we can all relate to. So I would say, hey, Josh konigsberg here. First, I just want to check in and I hope you and your family are safe and healthy and everybody's doing great. Okay. I don't know about you, but I'm enjoying this extra time at home with my family, some days more so than others. There's your personal anecdote, okay. Okay. But I also want to let you know that our office is up and fully operational. I can tell you here at law firm marketing pros, not only are we operational on working remotely, we've actually added three new staff members during the pandemic to help meet the needs of our clients. Let them know that we're here for them more so than ever. So that when they come through the pandemic, they're going to be on top. Okay? Make a personal connection. Okay have I've seen dogs barking in the background heard dogs barking in the background, you know, kids zoom bombing, okay, that's actually happened to me. And it's, it's fun and everybody's kind of dealt with it and it just personalizes it.

Then you always want to end with if they've got any personal concerns or comments or questions, feel free to contact you put a call to action with your logo brand this little video and email to your clients. Okay. The next thing you want to try to do is you want to ask your clients to create a short video testimonial for you. So, again, while most population has been stuck at home, okay, they're opening their emails more than ever, and are more familiar with the electronics and the digital world than ever before. So they're more likely to leave your review Okay, as I previously stated, Google searches are up over 50% Facebook uses is up over 70% YouTube uses is up 70%. So we know people are using this. Let's leverage that. Okay? A video testimonial is just a tremendous opportunity for them to personalize it and help you with your great reputation. Okay? If you're not sure what to have them say, we've actually prepare some, some stuff for you. And we'll I will happily share it, share it with you. And I'll tell you what to do here at the end end of this Facebook Live. Once you have those videos, you want to leverage them you want to publish them on your social media platform, put them on Facebook, put them on Instagram, if you have an Instagram account, you want to share them on your YouTube channel. You want to embed them in your emails, and you want to again, make sure you brand it with your logo and your phone number at the end just in general, get more more reviews, okay, because email opens or so are open or what opens are way up, it's a great time for you to ask for review. Even if it's a written review with a link to your Avvo or your Google My Business listing, or Yelp, all you do is have to ask them to leave a review and put a link to that platform. And it's very quick and simple for them to do. In that email, you want to make sure that you tell them how valuable it is for you and for your business as we come out of the pandemic, so that you have more reviews and you have a better reputation. So that when customers or potential clients are looking for you they see and read great things about you. So that's really important for your cut your existing customers to understand that they will be helping you as you come out of your financial whatever financial struggles you maybe have experienced through the through the pandemic Creating an email newsletter for your client base. Okay, this keeps everyone informed. And you want to keep make sure you keep these emails short and sweet. Most people are scanning them anyway. So you want to keep them short. If you don't have an existing newsletter platform, both MailChimp and benchmark, have a free version. Now if it's free up until a certain number of names in the database, it's usually about 2000. As soon as you get over that threshold at 2000 are going to charge you it's a nominal fee anyway, but it's an excellent, these are excellent apps to use and a great way to stay in touch with your clients. So I'd like to now move forward into some things that are can be done for you for those people who, for those attorneys are who are so busy, they don't have time, and they know that they can rely on a company that can do the heavy lifting for you. And we don't We've been in business for just about 10 years. Net 10 years now. So we've made all the mistakes. We know what works, we know what doesn't work, we know where, where the waste is. So we can help you with the following areas. What I've done is I broke this down into specific areas of law. And those specific areas of law

are different things happening in different areas law firms. So for example, with personal injury, you personal injury attorneys out there know right now, you already know you're settling lots of cases right now. You know that those people that are home that have been furloughed or laid off or in some cases that the businesses are not coming back, you're making that money now, you're settling those cases now. Your concerns should be six 912 1518 months from now. And we can really help you with some great SEO strategies and other digital marketing strategies to get you out there. Get you seen create that online on the presence increase your digital footprint so that When the traffic picks up, and there's more personal injury cases, and there's more car accidents and slips, slip and falls, etc, etc, you're the one that they get to see and then the one they get to pick for Family Law. You know, just to state the obvious we know we're already seeing a spike in divorce filings. We know there's been domestic abuse issues populate we know there's child custody fights over our I don't think the home is safe because his girlfriend has might have COVID-19 I'm not sending my kids there. Whatever it is, we know that's going on. So we know we're going to see a spike in fit and family law. You need to do something now you need to get out there. Now we have tools net, we have tools that law firm marketing pros that can help you get more visibility, help you increase your digital footprint and do it fast. For criminal defense, well, we know since we're going to talk a little bit, not only just about post pandemic post COVID-19 but now With all the riots in the looting, we knew looting was coming. We obviously didn't see the Jewish Floyd situation, but we know that there's definitely a spike in crime. And I don't want to forget to talk about the releasing of criminals from jails and prisons due to COVID-19. Obviously, we know there's going to be a high rate of recidivism and therefore need for a criminal defense attorney. So we know that you're going to see a spike in in searches, and online searches and a spike in need for your services. So again, we have some tools right now that can get you seen help get your phone ringing right now. For Business and intellectual property law. A lot of a lot of people have been home tinkering, tinkering with ideas or improving they've got more time in their hands. They've been working on projects. They want to get a patent, they want to get a trademark they I want to set up a corporation, all the things that a potential new business owner or inventor is going to need, they're going to need a business law attorney. And again, that's happening right now. And it's going to continue to happen as we progress through the pandemic and the post pandemic behavior and the shift in consumer behavior. So we want to get to their bankruptcy and probate don't really need to get into detail on that. We know that there's going to be people who can't pay their bills, there's going to be a significant spike in bankruptcy filings. We know that there's a lot of unfortunately a lot of people have passed in certain pockets of the country, more so than others. Here in Florida, we that you know, our governor has done a great job. But nonetheless, you're still going to see a spike in probate.

So

we know that you're busy running your practice. We know that as we're all trying to adjust to the new normal that With employees working remotely and with having virtual consultations and learning new technology and still running your business and still managing your cases, it can feel a little bit unmanageable, okay? That's because it's daunting, it is hard. And we are here to help. So at the end of the day, the goal is to get quality leads. And the way you get quality leads is through developing something called an online omnipresence. Okay and that is the art of being everywhere. Okay. So that means when your potential customers looking for what you do in your area, they see you everywhere. As well as see a great reputation about you because you Build a great reputation online, and that COMM And that's important because it comes down to the one word that's most important in all of marketing. And that is trust, okay, it's the foundation of every single purchase decision every consumers make makes, okay? When you have the best reputation, and the most number of quality reviews and testimonials in multiple places throughout the equals ecosystem, clients are gonna call you first those potential clients will call you first. So you have to be there, you have to be everywhere, and you have to have a great reputation. So you want to leverage the current state of consumer behavior and you want to do it now. Don't hesitate. Okay. We all seen the stats, we know that the consumer behavior has spiked online. We're not sure how much longer it's going to continue to spike. Businesses are already starting to open back up. Nonetheless, you want to be there. Even when They do open back up. But now you can really leverage this to take advantage of it, again with the ultimate goal of getting you more quality leads.
