Hey Josh Konigsberg here Law Firm Marketing Pros. I'm here with Greg McCollum from the Complete Legal Defense Team. We're going to talk a little bit about the work that we've been doing for Greg and the Complete Legal Defense Team. Greg, please introduce yourself and your firm and the type of law the practice.

Yes, I'm happy to. I'm Greg McCollum. I'm the managing partner and founder of the Complete Legal Defense Team. We're an exclusive criminal defense practice located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. That's on the northern part of the South Carolina coast. And we've been the Complete Legal Defense Team, I think we formed this in either 2013 or early 2014.

Great, thanks. How did you get involved with Law Firm Marketing Pros and how long have you been working?

Like a lot of people, for several years.

I was looking for ways to grow my business practice and market my firm and I had been working on search engine optimization for some time. I had a guy that I was referred to me and he did a decent job. And he said he was going to get me to the top of Google. And so I could get there, and I could stay there. And, you know, for a while, he did a pretty good job, but then I started having some frustration. So I've done a lot of work with a guy named Vince Gelormine and I consider Vince probably, if there's a better Pay-per-click guy in the country I don't know who it could possibly be. And I've worked with Vince for years, and I trust him implicitly. He recommended Law Firm Marketing Pros, and then I made the switch and it's been a really good experience.

Great, thanks. Yeah, Vince is the Godfather.

He really is. Yeah.

So were there any specific problems that you were expecting with your other SEO provider?

I like him and and he was pretty good. I don't think he didn't keep up with the changes the way that I would liked for him to. I was reluctant to refer him to other people even out of market because it just he just didn't have the follow through that I would feel comfortable with. And he was more of a tech kind of guy as opposed to a business person.

Okay. Okay, got it. All right. So at that time, what was going on in your business in terms of maybe the number of leads or number in cases that you're getting every month before you hired us?

Now we were chasing leads everywhere I was spending money with Avo I was spending money with Yelp, there were several lead service companies that I've forgotten the name all. They were sending us leads we were spending money and we might get, you know, 80 leads from this one company that I forgot their name. But we ended up one time we had gotten 250 or 300-400 leads from them and I had converted one, because they just weren't quality. And so we were spending a tremendous amount of time on sales calls that had no possibility of generating a client. And so I was looking to expand our reach. We live in a really big county, and I was concerned about the different things that was going on organically. And so I really started looking at location services and that sort of thing. And that was a strategy that I wanted to implement. And that's something that you guys have really done a great job with.

So thanks. So kind of answer to the next question is What did our team put into place that made the big difference for you?

It was just, you know, getting up at the top as everyone says. You look at that three pack, and there's only three people in it. And then if you're not doing Pay-per-click, you just really left out of that. And so we wanted to be in that three pack. And we were determined to be in that three pack for different search terms. And that was our goal. And that's what we've achieved and we've been able to stay there.

So we've not only got you in the three pack for where you are in Myrtle Beach, but just increasing your digital footprint print geographically into other markets that you're now able to pull from.

Yeah, the county that we're in, that Myrtle Beach is in, it's one of the largest counties. I think it's supposedly the largest county, east of the Mississippi. The county, I think they say is the size of Rhode Island. So it's a big landmass. And so once Google became more location specific, it was important for us to make sure we had a strategy so that we weren't being left out of those searches.

So it sounds like you were able to come consolidate some of your marketing efforts and some of your marketing expenditure and get better results, whether that be more leads or at the very least more qualified leads.

Oh, definitely. And you know, we were a lot of these services you know, we signed fairly lengthy contracts, and it took a while for those to expire. But it didn't and it doesn't take long to figure out if you're spending a lot of money every month with a lead service and you're not getting any calls or you're getting calls of people that are not a qualified potential clients.We've certainly moved away from all of that. And we're continually trying to assess, you know, what works and what doesn't work and discard what doesn't work,

Right. And so what's working now is being found on Google Maps and multiple locations and having a larger digital footprint. And you are getting leads from areas that you were not never been and before and converting them to clients?

Yes. And I'd also you know attribute some of our success to, you know, the website creation and things that we've done. And we've done a better job here lately of targeting our ideal clients. And so, you know, I think that people are, for something as serious as criminal defense, people are not just going to necessarily click on a site and call that lawyer and trust their life to that law firm. So I think that there's some shopping going around and research is going on definetly.

Definitely. Sure. Sure. And what what along the same lines, what role has having a great reputation online played in that and having that reputation also displayed on your website?

Well, that's huge. You know, we're always asking people to give us reviews and your company has a review program. We've gotten a lot of really good reviews and people always say that when I have an opportunity to ask them and say, Well, what if you didn't know us or you weren't referred to us necessarily? What was the deciding factor? And they they always point to those good reviews.

Yeah, that's great. And I see on Google that you have 42 reviews with a 4.9 star rating. So good for you. You're doing a great job. Also, on your end. You'd mentioned that the referral from a trusted resource, which was Vince over to us, was there any other factors in choosing us knowing that you could have stuck with the guy you were working with? Or chose one of our competitors? Or, or do it yourself? Was there any anything that you can think of?

This is prior to engagement?

Well, you know, I sat down and met with you on a call and you laid it all out for me and showed me exactly what to expect and what reports would be generated and what results I should expect. And so that was I don't know if that was the deciding factor. But it was it was something I really appreciate is working with somebody who's professional who's going to give me numbers, give me metrics, show me exactly what's being done, how it's being done, and what the results are.

Yeah, that's that's extremely important to us.

Thanks. And I certainly hope our fulfillment have met those expectations that I laid out in the meeting.

Would you agree with that statement?

Yes, yes. And maybe exceeded those expectations actually.

Great. Well, our team will be thrilled to hear that.

Okay, we're going to wrap up here with just a few more questions. What surprised you the most or made you the happiest once you engaged with us?

You know, for Law Firm Marketing Pros, the responsiveness, the professionalism, the accessibility if we need something if we have a question, you're easy to get in touch with, you're easy to deal with, and very reliable, very dependable, very professional. And that's, look, that's an area that is very hazy, very murky. I've been in lawyer marketing groups where people who I would consider very sophisticated law firm marketers, people who spend a lot of money, maybe $100,000 a year, maybe, maybe that much a month. And a refrain that I received from many of them in our in our mastermind meetings, was that they absolutely could not find anybody that could do SEO to their satisfaction, they poured money down the drain and got nowhere really and so that was something that I was very appreciative and , you know, gave out you guys, contact information, several of them, you know, because of that because just to pass that along to them.

Thank you. Appreciate that. Okay. So how how has working with law firm marketing pros changed your law practice? Again COVID-19 fouls a little bit up, obviously. But pre analysis we come out of out of the pandemic.

It's just made, you know, business life more consistent. And we're more confident that we know we're going to get a set number of calls, we know we're going to get a certain number of leads. We're not going to go to sleep on anything. We're constantly doing things to try to improve our marketing improve our services to our clients, but it gives me a gives me a level of comfort that I know we have at least this high baseline of marketing established that's not going away.

That's great. So more consistency, if you will.

Yeah consistency, reliability, results.

Okay. And then and then how has working with us then change your personal life. I mean, that's got to reduce some stress, right?

Yeah, I've done several things to help with that.

But definitely, you know, you, marketing and sales, we have to have marketing sales to exist. And I've got a lot of people that work here that are relying on us, clients are relying on us. So we want to have that consistency and knowing that, you know, we'll be here tomorrow and next week and next year.

Good stuff, good stuff. So if you are going to recommend our services to colleague, which you have, what would you say?

I would say that you know, if you want to improve your footprint, if you want to get leads, if you want to show up in the Google search, you definitely want to take a look at Law Firm Marketing Pros. Great. And last question is, what would you say to someone who might be on the fence about utilizing Law Firm Marketing Pros?

Well, if they have any questions, they should contact you and sit down at their computer screen for a presentation because what they'll see I think will amaze them, of what you guys can do. And you're showing them real numbers, real results. It's not something that you making up and so they can see exactly what they're going to be getting. And they just need to take the time because it is time consuming to do that, but it's worth it. They shouldn't make a decision without sitting down and watching that presentation is easy enough to do you schedule a time block off an hour and a half. Right now when they have time just you know, sit down and do it.

You try and if they if they met with us and somebody else and they were trying to think well, should I use Law Firm Marketing Pros or ABC or XYZ? And they're on the fence, having your experience dealing with other marketers, what would the one thing that you could say they say, you know, choose law for marketplace? What's the one thing that you would say?

You guys are authentic. You don't promise something that you can't deliver and that, you know, you're going to do what you say you're going to do, and you're going to do it at the highest level.
